CAPOTE, Truman.  In Cold Blood: A True Account of a Multiple Murder and Its Consequences.  New York: Random House, 1966.  Advance Reading Copy.  Original mauve printed wrappers bound in original dust-jacket.  $500.

Advance reading copy of Capote's most enduring work, in generally fine condition with only light occasional surface wear to spine.  The novel tells the story of the gruesome murders of Bonnie and Herb Clutter, farmers from Kansas, and their teenage children, 16-year-old Nancy and 15-year-old Kenyon.  From a literary standpoint, the book is acknowledged as having broken new ground as Capote presents his 'true account' account in the form of a novel.   An excellent copy of an important and innovative work.
